Residents of Mirador senior living community, accustomed to enjoying tasty ocean-friendly sustainable seafood, recently had the opportunity to learn more about one of their favorites, oysters. Residents and guests were invited to have a fascinating look at the world of oyster harvesting and sustainability. The presentation was given by Mirador’s own chef and ended with oyster shucking, and of course, oyster tasting!
“Our dining staff does an amazing job at providing fresh and delicious seafood options for our residents to enjoy,” said Cory Houdmann, director of sales and marketing for Mirador. “We live in a coastal community, so seafood is natural part of life. We value the relationships among staff and residents so activities such as these are fun for both
parties. Plus, it is another great way to showcase the delicious food at Mirador!”
