Red Poppy Coin Honors Fallen Soldiers

2009-05-26 06:34:41 - Viewed as a symbol of remembrance for soldiers killed in action, the red corn poppy has been used to raise money for fallen soldiers since 1921. A new gold coin from Coin Invest Trust is a unique reminder of the debt paid by soldiers who put service to country above self.

The proof coin, valued at 1 dollar in the currency of Palau, is 99.99% gold and weighs 0.5 grams. Manufactured in a mintage of 25,000, the 2008 coin is 11 millimeters in diameter.
