Ian Main, Professor, School of Geosciences, University of Edinburgh will be talking ‘Recovery Analytics- Data Driven Insights into Reservoir Behaviour’ on the first day of the conference. Ian commented: "The advent of big data, and the development of analytic and computational tools in data science to handle it, is opening a new frontier in understanding and forecasting the behaviour of complex natural and engineered systems. This opens up the possibility of developing disruptive technologies in hydrocarbon exploration and production, including real-time monitoring and data processing and new analytics for optimising recovery."
