Kelly Capolino, a top-producing real estate professional and the founder of the Diamond Volunteer Program, reports real estate sales are increasing in southwest Florida. The real estate market is reporting great numbers that are encouraging and showing a high increase.

March 2010 showed 41% more sales than 2009 in Naples, and properties under contract increased by 55% over the last year. Foreclosed properties are selling at 110% higher than their listing price, and foreclosures are going through bidding wars, as sales numbers are going up and supply is going down.

There were 1,146 units under contract in March 2009 in the Naples, Bonita Springs, and Estero region of Southwest Florida; 2010 shows an increase with 1,779 units in process. Sales have

also jumped this year from 734 units sold in March 2009 to 1,032 units in 2010.

“We are seeing a return of the market the way it is supposed to be for Florida,” said Capolino. “Buyers have enough different options to make the perfect choice when buying a home or rental property, and sellers are able to take advantage of increased traffic. Staying positive is important on all levels… for sellers and buyers. I truly believe the market is on its way back for Southwest Florida!”
