2013-10-04 07:51:28 - The 3rd annual PurpleStride, a chip timed 5K run and walk hosted by the Houston Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, will take place Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Reliant Park. Participants can register now at www.purplestride.org/houston or onsite race day beginning at 7 a.m.
The walk/run starts at 8:30 a.m. Live music, children’s activities and refreshments are on the agenda. Last year’s race raised $227,000 for pancreatic cancer research. Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer death in the United States.
