3RD ANNUAL NEW JERSEY ECONOMIC POLICY FORUM SET FOR DEC. 15
Holmdel, N.J., Nov. 19, 2009 – The 3rd Annual New Jersey Economic Policy Forum will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 15, with a program and discussion centered on the results of the group’s ambitious, twice-yearly C-Suite Survey of top-level executives in New Jersey. The event, slated from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., will take place at the former Bell Labs facility in Holmdel – a location selected to highlight how New Jersey and its economy are at a crossroads.
The New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, Rutgers University, commercial real estate
services provider Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. and several partner trade associations created the Forum in 2007 to bring together key stakeholders to discuss economic challenges and opportunities facing the state. The C-Suite survey first was conducted that fall by the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University. It has been administered every six months since then, asking executives a variety of questions associated with the state's economy and business climate.
The latest C-Suite survey results will be presented at the Dec. 15 event and compared to previous versions. Two panel discussions will follow: one featuring the Forum’s association partners and the other consisting of C-Suite level executives from participating companies. The executives panel will feature a town hall-style format where audience members may ask questions of the participants.
The cost to attend is $65; survey participants are invited to attend free of charge. The per-person price does not include a 12:15 p.m. luncheon, which is by invitation only. For registration information, visit www.njchamber.com. This year’s Economic Policy Forum event is being sponsored by PNC Bank and The Bloustein School, with additional sponsorship opportunities available. The event's host location, the former Bell Labs building on Crawfords Corner Road in Holmdel, is one of New Jersey's most celebrated architectural landmarks. Currently, the building's contract purchaser, Lakewood, N.J.-based Somerset Development, is seeking to preserve and redevelop the vacant two million-square-foot building for use by a new generation.
