In its eighth year of circulation, on December 1, 2013, Quest CE invited over 50,000 financial advisors to participate in its annual survey on value of insurance continuing education (CE). The purpose of the study was to discover the importance advisors place on their continuing education needs and their perceptions of insurance wholesalers that provide continuing education offerings.
Based on the results of the survey, Quest CE concluded that wholesalers leveraging continuing education are more likely to build stronger, lasting relationships with the advisors they work with.
In fact, 89% of advisors indicated that they will make time to attend a wholesaler branch office meeting when informed that continuing education is offered. Additionally, 86% of advisors would prefer to attend a wholesaler
meeting when continuing education is being offered, versus a wholesaler meeting only to inform them on new products or update them on product performance.
Additionally, 56% of advisors believe that wholesalers offering continuing education are more knowledgeable about the products and services being offered in the financial services industry, and 55% of advisors view wholesalers offering continuing education as being more professional than wholesalers not offering continuing education.
