Quad/Graphics Europe, one of the leading commercial printers in Europe, announced three executive leadership promotions, effective 1 March 2014.
- Tim Ohnmacht has been promoted from Managing Director of Quad/Graphics Europe to General Manager of Quad/Graphics’ U.S.
Magazine and Catalogue group. In his new role, Ohnmacht will be responsible for driving the success of two of Quad/Graphics’ largest U.S. manufacturing platforms, working closely with sales and operations leaders.
- Jakub Dyląg has been promoted from Vice President of Operations to Managing Director of Quad/Graphics Europe, succeeding Ohnmacht. In this role, he will be responsible for directing strategic initiatives that support the company’s European operations and growth plans as well as serving as a key client contact.
- Dariusz Tomczak has expanded his role
from Vice President of Sales to Vice President of Sales & Marketing. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing and executing a Pan-European sales and marketing strategy with the support of Quad/Graphics Europe’s team of highly experienced sales and marketing professionals. He will also continue to oversee all paper operations, including paper purchasing and paper vendor management.
“Quad/Graphics has become one of Europe’s premier printers thanks to the talents and dedication of our many employees, including these three experienced leaders, who are ready to take on new roles at our company,” said Tom Frankowski, President of Quad/Graphics Europe, and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of USA-based Quad/Graphics.
“Tim Ohnmacht, Jakub Dyląg and Dariusz Tomczak are extremely well qualified for their new positions, and we look forward to their continued contributions to our company’s global success.”
Working closely with Dyląg, Tomczak and other members of Quad/Graphics Europe’s leadership team, Ohnmacht will transition to his new role over the next several months before returning to the United States permanently.
“I am excited about this unique opportunity to manage all facets of Quad/Graphics’ extensive magazine and catalogue platform in the United States,” said Ohnmacht, who is an American citizen. “I will be able to capitalise on all of the knowledge and experience that I’ve gained during the past several years directing our European operations. I leave knowing that our clients, employees and suppliers are in good hands with Jakub leading our European team.”
Dyląg, too, is excited and energised by assuming his new role. “It is an honour for me to take on this new leadership role at our company as we continue to pursue our goal of becoming the printer of choice for clients all across Europe,” he said. “I am proud of what Quad/Graphics Europe has accomplished so far, and I will continue to put my operations background to good use in advancing our print and multichannel solutions in all market segments as we build our future together with our clients.”
Tomczak echoed Dyląg’s sentiments: “Quad/Graphics Europe offers many advantages and strengths that are unmatched by other European printers to help publishers, retailers and marketers to achieve their goals and grow their businesses,” he said. “Our central location is ideal for swiftly and efficiently serving markets all across Europe.”
