CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/22/13 -- Pulse Seismic Inc. ("Pulse" or "the Company") (TSX:PSD) (OTCQX:PLSDF) announces that Brent Gale will retire as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company effective May 22, 2013. Pulse's Board of Directors has asked Mr. Gale to stand for nomination as a director at the May 22, 2013 Meeting of Shareholders, and Mr. Gale has accepted.

"It has been 20 years since my three founding partners and I formed Pulse, and it was truly great to see 2012 becoming Pulse's most successful year since its inception," Mr. Gale commented. "What I enjoyed the most at Pulse was the opportunity to assemble an amazing, talented team that continues to build the highest-quality seismic data library in Canada. It is the quality of the current management team, under the leadership of Neal Coleman as President and CEO that gives me the confidence to step down from my management role. I am honoured to be asked to stand for election to become a member of Pulse's Board of Directors."

"Brent has had an outstanding career in the seismic industry and we are excited that he has accepted our invitation to become a Director," stated Graham Weir, Chair of Pulse. "With over 35 years of seismic industry experience, Brent's knowledge of field operations, the oil and natural gas industry and business in general will further enhance the Board's strength. We look forward to Brent's contributions."
