Hinton Police Department and Court move from paper to electronic reporting by installing PTS Solutions Public Safety Software.
HINTON, WEST VIRGINIA—The Hinton Police Department signed a contract with PTS Solutions, Inc. to provide automated Police Records and Court Records Management Software. Computerizing the records system is a major step forward for the Police Department since they are currently writing and filing their reports on paper.
“Looking up old reports, citations and suspects was a difficult process on the old paper system,” explained Hinton Police Chief Derek Snavely. “The new PTS Record Management system combined with Court has completely integrated all of our files. It allows us to have all of our information at our fingertips and available to every officer at any time.”
The PTS Solutions Computer Aided Dispatch software is also installed at the Summers County 911 Center.
“The ability to join our police records and court records with our County’s 911 system in the future and have the same software working together, was a big factor in our decision to join forces with PTS Solutions.”
The new system will be operational in the next few weeks. “We are very excited to add the Hinton Police Department to our growing list of West Virginia clients,” said PTS President Dave Fuqua. “We think the PTS Software will be a great fit for their department and look forward to working with them as partners in modernizing their public safety software systems.”
