Privus Mobile : , the first Caller ID solution for BlackBerry smartphones, pushed out a free update to distributors and existing subscribers enabling caller name lookup in addition to its enhanced Caller ID services. The updated smartphone application now allows users to receive the name registered to any phone number by simply inputting the number in its new, easy-to-use

caller name lookup interface as well as receive the name associated with all incoming calls on the device – not just the names of incoming callers already in the phone’s contact list.

Users can download the update from inside the Privus Mobile application.

BlackBerry users interested in purchasing Privus Mobile can download the complete application with a 10-day free trial on their devices through BlackBerry App World or Privus Mobile’s mobile site at www.privusmobile.mobi : .
The application is compatible with all BlackBerry devices including the new BlackBerry Tour 9630, BlackBerry Curve 8520 and BlackBerry Bold.

“The average BlackBerry user chooses a BlackBerry because they refuse to compromise in capabilities and performance. They have high demands and even higher expectations for their phone and everything that goes with it – especially their applications. We originally designed Privus Mobile to meet those demands, although with this free update I think we’ve exceeded them,” said Greg Smith, president of Privus Mobile.

“Smartphones like the BlackBerry Tour 9630 continue to incorporate new features, capabilities and add-ons, but manufacturers seem to forget that these phones still don’t have the same basic Caller ID features as landline phones. We’re more than happy to bring those features to your smartphone and expand on them with new capabilities such as this free caller name lookup update.”

Since its launch in 2008, Privus Mobile has helped tens of thousands of smartphone owners around the world better manage their calls. In addition to BlackBerry App World, the Privus Mobile application can be purchased from the BerryStore, PrivusMobile.com and almost anywhere mobile applications are sold, including Handmark, Handango and Mobile2Day. Privus Mobile is available for Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, Symbian and Android devices as well as Privus Mobile’s iPhone application, iPrivus.
