PAVA daughter company RAD will install GPS-systems to enhance seeding and harvesting activities Russian Agricultural Division is actively enlarging its land bank and purchasing agricultural machinery from world-known manufacturers. RAD farming operations will be based on progressive technologies of precision agriculture - and one of the important aspects is equipping the aggregates with GPS-systems.
GPS-devices are becoming more widespread in agriculture as they help operators reduce skips and overlaps in applying fertilizer, pesticides and other inputs. Besides, they facilitate spraying and substantially reduce labor requirements.
RAD envisages to fit its sowing complexes and harvesters with GPS-systems. The main benefits will be ehhanced accuracy compared to the traditional blanket methods and improved yields. Tracing exact location of the aggregate will allow prompt repair works in case of a breakdown.
The gradual introduction of precision farming technologies will start from drawing up electronic maps of the fields for better calculation of inputs. By the next sowing campaign RAD intends to equip the machinery with GPS-sensors controlling fuel consumption.
