Popchips Poised for Eastern Expansion

Jim Marcum, a seasoned sales executive who recently joined popchips as director of natural channel sales in the eastern U.S., will help lead this exciting new phase of the company's growth.
"We're pleased to announce that popchips is pushing east and looking forward to making them available in the leading eastern retailers," says Keith Belling, co-founder and chief executive officer. "Since first launching in the western U.S. in 2007, we've continued to receive so many inquiries from east coast snackers looking for popchips, and are excited to now be able to share our taste-bud popping chips with more people than ever before."
Adding Marcum, who brings more than 25 years of sales and management experience in the grocery industry, was a key component of popchips' expansion strategy. Most recently, while serving as business development manager for the eastern U.S. for Kettle Foods, Marcum managed all natural distributors throughout the region, including United Natural Foods and Tree of Life, and was responsible for key accounts, including Whole Foods, the CAP group and Wegmans. Prior to joining Kettle, Marcum served as National Accounts Director and Eastern Area Sales Manager for Horizon Organic/Dean Foods.
