Bordeaux has opened for and/or played with classic greats including Kool & The Gang, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, The Commodores, Macy Gray, The Beach Boys, The Coasters and Drifters, Al Green, George Thorogood, Buddy Miles, The Shirelles, The Righteous Brothers, Poncho Sanchez, Kenny G, K.C. & The Sunshine Band, The Funk Brothers, Edgar Winter and Bill Medley. Derek Bordeaux, one of Orange County's most popular entertainers, will make his return to Salt Creek Grille on Jan. 17.
Bordeaux, who last rocked the popular Dana Point restaurant with rhythm and blues five years ago, will entertain guests in three special appearances early this year.
The Bordeaux Group's R&B roots run deep - having been a fixture on the local music scene for more than two decades. The group's powerhouse performances have left an indelible stamp on the heart, soul and mind of fans from California to Las Vegas for sultry renditions of Motown classics, jazz and blues standards.
Bordeaux has played with some of the county's best including The Wayne Wayne Band, Rob Mullins, Karl Denson, Barbara Morrison and others. His illustrious career has also included opening for and/or playing with classic greats including Kool & The Gang, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, The Commodores, Macy Gray, The Beach Boys, The Coasters and Drifters, Al Green, George Thorogood, Buddy Miles, The Shirelles, The Righteous Brothers, Poncho Sanchez, Kenny G, K.C. & The Sunshine Band, The Funk Brothers, Edgar Winter and Bill Medley.
Patrons will enjoy Bordeaux's impassioned soulful vocals while grooving on the dance floor; savoring the restaurant's delectable fare; and enjoying an upscale, yet casual atmosphere. Salt Creek Grille owners Tim McCune and Pete Truxaw, who are elated by the group's return appearances, are busy cooking up one-of-a-kind dinner specials for their guests to enjoy on Jan. 17.
The music kicks off at 9 p.m. in the restaurant's vibrant bar. Salt Creek Grille is located where Crown Valley Parkway meets Pacific Coast Highway in Dana Point.
