JM Eagle Completes HQ Move to Los Angeles

www.jmeagle.com - JM Eagle, the world"s largest manufacturer of plastic pipe, announced it has completed its move to Los Angeles, and is in the process of preparing to launch new initiatives focused on enhancing customer service and expanding relationships.
Formed by the 2007 merger of JM Manufacturing and PW Eagle, the company gradually transitioned its headquarters
in Livingston, N.J., to the West Coast over the last year in an effort to minimize any potential impact on customers, as well as provide an appropriate amount of time for employees to arrange to move with the company.
"While a transition like this can be challenging, we"re pleased there was minimal disruption to our business," said Neal Gordon, vice president of marketing. "Now that that move"s complete we"re looking forward to being part of the Los Angeles community, and continuing to serve our customers as best as possible."
Gordon added that JM Eagle continues to maintain a significant presence in Livingston, N.J., and Eugene, Ore., with branch offices that support the direct sales and independent representatives working in regional markets across the country.
Executive Appointments
JM Eagle"s move to Los Angeles coincides with a number of executive announcements, including the appointment of Rick Sheppler to director of sales for irrigation and plumbing. A 20-year veteran of the plastic-pipe industry, Sheppler oversees all domestic and international markets related to his specific area. He most recently served as JM Eagle"s western region manager for irrigation and plumbing, and also played a critical integration role in the merger of JM Manufacturing with PW Eagle.
Additionally, Tom Juhl was appointed assistant vice president of electrical sales for all domestic and international markets. Juhl joined JM Eagle this year and previously managed the company"s Midwest and East Coast regions for electrical sales.
"Both appointments will play a role in helping to streamline sales and customer service," said David Huange, vice president of sales/irrigation, plumbing and electrical, "as well as enhance distribution."
New Initiatives for 2009
As part of the overall transition, JM Eagle has also begun to develop a number of initiatives focused on customer service. Key to this is the company"s expansion of its marketing department, which has doubled in size over the past six months. "We are in a good position now to launch a series of initiatives for 2009, all designed to strengthen our customer relationships by leveraging the enhanced capabilities as a result of the merger," commented Gordon.
Gordon also said the initiatives will support JM Eagle"s unique sales strategy that combines a centralized selling approach with an extensive field-sales infrastructure. "We"re committed to delivering an unprecedented level of customer service to large and small customers alike," he said. "Our goal is to provide exceptional service to the broadest array of customers in a manner specifically tailored to their needs."
