Carolinians Grab Hard Hats to Tour Great Wolf Lodge – the Carolina’s Premier Indoor Waterpark Resort and Conference Center

The Concord, North Carolina lodge will be a first-class, full-service family destination resort designed to capture

the atmosphere and adventure of the northwoods.
In addition to the sneak peek tour, guests were treated to music from local band Hot Sauce and enjoyed a luncheon showcasing the talents of the Great Wolf Lodge culinary team. Hard hat tour speakers included Great Wolf Resorts" President and COO, Kim Schaefer, and Phil Cunningham, general manager, Great Wolf Lodge " Concord. Mayor J. Scott Padgett of the City of Concord and John S. Cox, president and CEO, Cabarrus Regional Partnership, also welcomed Great Wolf Lodge to the city.

"Great Wolf Lodge will give families and professionals in the Carolinas a dynamic place to experience the ultimate in fun and relaxation."
To keep the resort running smoothly year-round, Great Wolf Lodge will welcome more than 400 new employees. A job fair will be held on February 5, 6 and 7, 2009, at Lowe"s Motor Speedway.
Construction for Great Wolf Lodge broke ground in October, 2007, with more than $100 million being spent to build the four-story, 475,000 square-foot indoor waterpark resort and conference center. More than 55 contractors are contributing to the creation of Great Wolf Lodge " Concord, including 22 North Carolina businesses.

Once open, Carolina"s Year-Round Family Resort" will feature an 80,000 square-foot indoor waterpark, Bear Track Landing", with 11 waterslides and four pools, more than 400 guest suites with nine different configurations; 20,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space; an outdoor pool area; Iron Horse" Fitness Center; and Buckhorn Exchange", a gift emporium and convenience store.
Additional entertainment within the 98,000-square-foot-indoor entertainment area will include:
- A Great Clock Tower, which features an eight-minute, animatronic "Rhythm of Nature" show;
- Howl In One", a themed 18-hole miniature golf course;
- Northern Lights" Arcade with more than 100 video games and a prize center;
- Cub Club", a children"s activity area with program content, provided by National Geographic Kids, designed to enlighten and entertain;
- gr8_space", a tech center complete with Internet access, docking stations for mp3 players, gaming stations, karaoke, movies and musical entertainment;
- Elements", a full-service spa with Aveda® products and, Scooops® Kid Spa, designed for children 12 and under;
- MagiQuest" a live-action fantasy adventure game for all ages that leads players through Renaissance-themed challenges and activities to accumulate special powers. MagiQuest will be featured on two floors of the resort.
Great Wolf Lodge dining options will include two themed restaurants " Camp Critter Bar & Grill", a family restaurant and bar, and The Loose Moose Cottage", a gourmet buffet and food court. Guests on the move can also choose from Pizza Hut Express®, Dunkin Donuts® and Bear Paw Sweets & Eats".
