BIO and FDC-Windhover Announce BIO-Windhover 2009 Partnering Event

2008-12-02 23:00:04 -

www.bio.org - Top pharmaceutical and biotechnology executives from around the world will network, discover high-value assets that will ensure their future sales, and meet with companies looking for the assets they have to offer at BIO-Windhover 2009, now in its eighth year as the premier U.S.-based partnering conference for senior pharmaceutical and biotechnology executives and business development professionals.
The conference runs April 13-15 at the Marriott Marquis in New York City, NY.
BIO-Windhover allows senior executives to identify prospective partners by using the conference"s unique partnering software. Executives can search company and delegate profiles, as well as a database of licensing opportunities provided by the attendees. Executives can then communicate with and directly schedule meetings with prospective partners.
BIO-Windhover also delivers in-depth deals data and pipeline information from FDC-Windhover"s Strategic Transactions + Inteleos databases, and related analysis from IN VIVO: The Business & Medicine Report, all linked to the company profiles listed in the partnering software, allowing attendees to save time and maximize their dealmaking efforts. The most active in-licensors and out-licensors will all be on hand to create future growth through investments in partnerships deals.
Biopharma executives have called BIO-Windhover the best partnering event they have ever attended, citing two factors: the senior level of the participants and the opportunity for frank and open discussion.
"BIO-Windhover"s audience will be senior-level biotechnology and pharmaceutical executives and business development professionals who are unquestionably interested in out-licensing and in-licensing as a way to increase R&D productivity," said Roger Longman, Managing Partner of FDC-Windhover Information. "We"ve got some of the most interesting biotech out-licensing and in-licensing deals, showing that in-licensing has become as important as out-licensing to the biotech industry"and that many of the meetings will be focused on small companies looking to in-license, not just out-license."
Executives save time and focus only on their specific needs at BIO-Windhover by screening the partnering database for opportunities by multiple criteria, including more than 22 therapeutic categories such as cardiovascular, oncology, CNS and more; products or technologies; phase of project (pre-target validation to lead series); market type (specialty or general); geographic marketing rights desired; molecule type (small molecule, protein, antibody, peptide, or other macromolecule); and mode of administration.
Also, BIO-Windhover will take place concurrently with FDC-Windhover's popular Pharmaceutical Strategic Outlook event at the same hotel. PSO is the leading strategic-level conference on biopharma deal structures available in the industry, offering executives the chance to not only find the partners they need, but to learn the latest successful strategies from top dealmakers, all in one week.
The conference is hosted by the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) and FDC-Windhover.
