Edgell Communications Announces Strategic Restructuring; Launches New Online Portal

Edgell Communications, an integrated business media company, announced today that it is implementing a reorganization of editorial staff and strategy across its brands company-wide. The reorganization will also consolidate leadership of several core brands.
Rob Keenan, currently Vice President, Online Media, will shift to the newly created position of Vice President, Media Integration, and will oversee editorial operations with a specific focus on identifying and implementing new processes that foster collaboration and create efficiencies across markets and mediums.
Abigail Lorden will assume the role of Editor-in-Chief for Hospitality Technology, Vertical Systems Reseller and the soon-to-be launched Next Generation Self-Service portal, targeting the self-service technology market. Alliston Ackerman will assume the role of Editor, Consumer Goods Technology; Regina Ciardello will rise to Editor, Vertical Systems Reseller.
From a brand management perspective, Albert Guffanti will add Consumer Goods Technology to his current Publishing responsibilities for Vertical Systems Reseller. Lenore O"Meara will continue to run Hospitality Technology and will also direct the Next Generation Self-Service portal. Dorene VanHouten, current Publisher of Mobile Enterprise, will also assume management responsibility over the Seasonal Merchandising Group, which includes the Greetings etc., Selling Christmas Decorations and Selling Halloween franchises.
Additional operational maneuvers that accelerate the transformation of Edgell Communications into a fully integrated business media company will also be a part of the reorganization process. Keenan explains, "The singular goal of this process is to fully leverage Edgell"s considerable collective strengths to better develop and deliver content to our audience when and where they want to consume it"in print, in person and online."
