Tideway CMO Kelly Wenzel Named Best Business Executive by the Stevie® Awards For Women in Business

2008-11-18 15:07:54 - New York and London - November 18, 2008 - Tideway, one of the fastest growing providers of IT automation software, today announced that Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Kelly Wenzel has been named the 2008 Business Executive in a Computer Software and Services company with up to 2,500 employees by the Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The 2008 Stevie Awards for Women in Business is an international competition recognizing the accomplishments of outstanding women executives, business owners, and the organizations they run. The awards are produced by the creators of the prestigious American Business AwardsSM.

As CMO, Wenzel drives Tideway's go-to-market strategy and oversees product marketing, lead generation and marketing communications, sitting at the hub of the company's sales, communications, product management, and engineering activity.

Since Wenzel joined Tideway in September 2007, the company has experienced unprecedented growth, nearly doubling both its revenues and customer base. Under her marketing leadership Tideway has experienced a 365% increase in press coverage and 3x volume in lead generation. The company has recently launched a free, community edition of their software available for download, one of the first of its kind for automated application discovery and dependency mapping.

Wenzel prevailed in a difficult category, with finalists from companies including Apptix, CSC, and Unica Corporation. She was presented the Stevie Award by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network. In accepting the award, Wenzel said, 'It's a huge honor to be selected from a group of so many accomplished women. I'm tremendously proud to accept on behalf of my team at Tideway. Stevie Awards were handed out in categories including Best Entrepreneur, Best Executive, Lifetime Achievement, and Women Helping Women at the gala event at New York's Marriott Marquis Hotel on November 14. More than 1,200 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are governed by a Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors that features many leading women entrepreneurs and luminaries in business. Members of the Awards' Board selected Stevie winners from amongst the finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professional worldwide during the preliminary judging period.
