November 12-15, 2008 in New York City The African American Women In Cinema (AAWIC) in partnership with Save Africa Concerts Foundation presents their 11th Annual International Film Festival with a four day line-up of Celebrities and Events in New York City, November 12-15, 2008.
Award Recipients include Tamara Tunie, Actress (Devil's Advocate/ Law & Order: SVU), Phyllis Yvonne Stickney, Actress (Die Hard: With a Vengeance, What's Love Got To Do With It) and the late Josephine Baker (The first African American female to star in a major motion picture and to become a world-famous entertainer. She is also respected for her contributions to the US Civil Rights Movement. Josephine Bakers son Jéan Claude will accept the award in her honor.
