San Francisco, London - 12th November 2008 - ThoughtWorks, the pioneers of Agile software development, today announced the availability of training programs for Mingle, its Agile Project Management Platform. In partnership with Relevance, the well-known Agile coaching organization, ThoughtWorks will deliver an on-site training offering for companies looking to immerse their teams in the use of Mingle for running their entire program of IT work. The experience is geared towards learning not only the fundamentals of the platform, but also the best practices for developing templates that suit the needs of their organization's teams and projects, customized for their own systems development life-cycle.
This 2.5 day course starts by providing participants with a primer on the basic Mingle vocabulary and tools. This is followed by a series of hands-on sessions in which ‘students' are coached through various stages of tracking projects from ideation through delivery and support, and are provided with examples that are based on best practices of modern project delivery techniques, including Agile and Lean methods.
Adam Monago, Mingle Product Manager at ThoughtWorks, said, 'With many organizations leaning towards the Agile methodology for software development, there is an increase in the demand for understanding Agile tools and their functioning. This training program with Relevance, helps organizations in various stages of agility to utilize the powerful features of Mingle and better manage their Agile projects. Mingle leverages ThoughtWorks' 7+ years of experience in Agile, thus helping teams drive agility in their projects.'
