Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) mandates education for registered residential mortgage loan originators ProSchools, a leader in online mortgage education, has developed comprehensive mortgage education courses designed to meet the Illinois continuing education requirements. Licensees must renew annually. Courses cover Truth in Lending Act, Credit Scoring, and Federal Mortgage Lending Laws.
Illinois law requires a registered residential mortgage loan originator to complete six hours of continuing education in residential mortgage finance and related topics. The residential mortgage licensee that employs a loan originator must assure that the loan originator meets the continuing education requirement. The renewal process takes approximately 4-6 weeks.
