MassJam 2008 (Massachusetts Jamboree 2008) will bring together more than 7,000 Boy Scouts, Venturers, and adult Scouting volunteers from more than 375 Troops and Venture Crews in MA, RI, NH, ME, and CT in one weekend to celebrate "Where Tradition Meets Tomorrow" - a preview of Scouting's 100th anniversary in America in 2010.
MassJam 2008 offers an opportunity for Scouts to have fun while participating in activity centers that emphasize traditional Scouting skills: First Aid, Archery, Air Rifles, Orienteering, Friction Bridge, Confidence Course, Pioneering, Challenge Wall, and Mountain Boarding. In their spare time, Scouts will be able to visit a midway featuring a variety of exhibits and displays by organizations such as a blacksmith, the Massachusetts Audubon Society, Federation of Fly Fishers, and the U.S. Coast Guard. A favorite spot at this Jamboree will be the area set aside for patch and souvenir trading.
