Globecomm Systems Awarded Multiple Contracts from Various Government Agencies Valued at $3.0 Million

(NASDAQ: GCOM), a leading provider of satellite-based communications infrastructure solutions and services on a global basis, announced today that the Company has received multiple contract awards from various Government agencies valued at $3.0 million.

The contracts include C and Ku band terminal upgrades with technology refresh initiatives including L band frequency architecture with related

subsystems and Globecomm's AxxSys Orion Monitor and Control System. The Company anticipates the upgrades to be completed in the Company's fiscal 2009 fourth quarter ending June 30, 2009.

Mike Plourde, Vice President Government Programs, said, "Globecomm continues to service the government marketplace as our customers upgrade their core satellite infrastructure with more advanced technology. Our AxxSys Orion product provides several advanced features designed to promote life cycle support efficiencies. These features help significantly reduce yearly maintenance and support costs."
