Swisher Buchanan Public Relations Shane@buchananpr.com 610-649-9292 Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Delaware Valley (www.cccsdv.org), a non-profit organization providing credit counseling and financial education services, announces the launch of a major campaign entitled "I Thought It Was Me."
The program offers free one-on-one housing counseling services to Delaware Valley homeowners who have concerns about meeting their mortgage obligation each month, have missed a mortgage payment or more, or are facing foreclosure on their home.
Interested homeowners may access the services by visiting a special website www.IThoughtItWasMe.com, or calling a toll-free number (1-800-989-2227).
"In these times of economic uncertainty, understanding your financial situation is more important than ever," said Patricia Hasson, president of CCCS. "This is particularly true for distressed homeowners who may simply be one emergency away from financial disaster. They're not alone, and many ask themselves, 'Is it just me?'"
Other elements of the "I Thought It Was Me" campaign include a pair of radio spots, slated to air for four weeks beginning September 22. The free housing counseling is available through public funding, and can be accessed through the end of 2008.
"CCCS exists to help everyone - not just those experiencing financial difficulties - and we urge people to seek us out proactively before they find themselves in a challenging situation," said Hasson. "If a family or individual does find themselves in these circumstances, CCCS can provide education, guidance and solutions to help escape the cycle."
CCCS helps individuals and families gain control of their finances, reduce debt and achieve financial goals through a host of educational programs and counseling services. Founded in 1966, CCCS is headquartered in Philadelphia and has 58 employees at its eleven offices throughout the Delaware Valley.
