The event at the Carrington House Hotel has been organised by Bournemouth 2026 and takes place on September 16. Guest speakers include Alison Cronin of Monkey World, Mayor of Bournemouth Cllr Stephen Chappell and Echo news editor Andy Martin.
The evening is a celebration of those individuals working tirelessly to make Bournemouth a safer, greener, healthier and more community-minded place to live.
Tickets include a three-course meal and drinks. Sponsors include JPMorgan, Dave Wells Properties and Transdev Yellow Buses.
The finalists have been announced as John Major of the Bournemouth and Christchurch Alzheimer's Association, the volunteers at DOTS Disability, the Boscombe Gardens Football Project and Annie Robertson of the Westbourne and West Cliff Safer Neighbourhood Team.
Also shortlisted for an award are Hazel Thorby who has reunited dozens of people living in Kinson in the 1950s, Gwen White of Winton Salvation Army, Bronwyn Pendrey from Caring Canines, sports development worker Steve Mowlem, the Northey & Padfield Residents Association and Angela Pooley of East Dorset Friends of the Earth.

Bournemouth 2026, which works closely with Bournemouth Borough Council, unites 200 local voluntary organisations, private companies and public services and co-ordinates projects to make life better.
Its vision for 2026 is of a safe Bournemouth with inclusive, vibrant neighbourhoods, healthy residents, good transport links, a strong economy and quality environment.
Bournemouth 2026, formerly known as Bournemouth Partnership, was launched in 2000.
