- EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500(R) leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses, announced that KDC Systems, a division of its Dynalectric subsidiary in Los Angeles, has been awarded a contract to provide upgraded instrumentation, controls and systems engineering for the Lancaster Water Reclamation Plant (WRP) in Lancaster, California. The Lancaster WRP provides primary and secondary treatment for 16 million gallons of wastewater per day.
KDC Systems will support upgrading the method of treatment at the Lancaster WRP from oxidation ponds to conventional activated sludge treatment with tertiary filtration and disinfection services. The upgrade will allow recycled water to be stored during wet winter months, when the demand for water is low, and utilized in dry summer months, when the demand for water is high. The scope of work will include the installation of new storage reservoirs, a pump station and pipelines for the storage and distribution of recycled water to reuse sites. KDC Systems will be responsible for designing and installing approximately 25 control panels and will specify and procure all instruments involved in the project.
"The control systems and other work we provide will help provide the safe and reliable transport of recycled water to millions of people," said Chris Pesavento, President and CEO of Dynalectric. "Our work on this multi-stage project will enable us to once again demonstrate our technical services and state-of-the-art project management for which we are known."
