Books-A-Million Opens in Palm Coast, Florida

www.booksamillioninc.com - Books-A-Million, Inc. (NASDAQ:BAMM) will open the doors to its 15,500-square-foot store at 5220 State Route #100. A grand opening celebration, to include community and children's activities, is planned for August 9 and 10 at the store, Books-A-Million's 39th in Florida.

Palm Coast store will employ more than 40 people and will feature books, magazines, cards, gifts and collectibles. Specialty sections will include:

-- Faithpoint - featuring an immense selection of Bibles, Christian Living and Christian Fiction books.

-- Kids-A-Million - featuring children's books, learning resources, toys and games that appeal to children, parents, teachers and librarians.

-- Joe Muggs Cafe - a coffee and espresso bar complete with comfortable cafe seating and decadent snacks.

The grand opening celebration will begin Saturday, August 9, starting at 9 a.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Palm Coast Chamber of Commerce. Children's activities include story times with Wild Thing and Stella Luna starting at 10:00 a.m. Other activities include a favorite literary figure costume contest and traditional West African/New Guinea music on the patio at 7 p.m.

The celebration continues Sunday, August 10, at 12 p.m. with story times with the Wild Thing and Stella Luna and West African/New Guinea music on the patio at 5 p.m. Throughout the grand opening celebration, Books-A-Million at Palm Coast Landing will be conducting a book drive and a fundraiser for the Flagler-Palm Coast High School. The fundraiser will be daily from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Palm Coast residents who are new Books-A-Million patrons are encouraged to sign up for the Millionaire's Club, where members save 40 percent off bestsellers, 20 percent off hundreds of items throughout the store and 10 percent off everything, everyday.
