Craig Fertel, Director of Taxable Fixed Income Sales, re-joins Janney from Bell Rock Capital, and will work out of Janney's Philadelphia corporate headquarters. Fertel, who previously spent nearly 15 years with the Firm, will build upon the existing strong foundation of the fixed income business, serving all classes of institutional investors including banks and thrifts, insurance companies, money managers, hedge funds and public sector accounts.

Michael Stevenson, Director, Institutional Equity Sales, joins Janney from Merrill Lynch, and will work out of the firm's New York, NY office. In his role, Stevenson is tasked to increase account relationships in order to serve a greater client base and expand Janney's presence in the New York Institutional market.

Dale Foard, First Vice President, Manager of Municipal Institutional Sales, Trading and Underwriting, joins Janney form Morgan Keegan, and will work out of Janney's Philadelphia corporate headquarters. With over 20 years of financial service industry experience, Foard will concentrate on Municipal finance, trading and risk management.

Tom Kozlik, Vice President, Public Finance, joins Janney from Bear Stearns, and will work out of Janney's Philadelphia corporate headquarters. Hired as a generalist banker, Kozlik will focus on state, large city and large county municipal finance business expanding Janney's presence in the tax-exempt water, sewer, wastewater and related utility areas.

These significant additions come just months after the hiring of Steve Genyk, (Managing Director of the Public Finance Department and Co-Head of Municipal Fixed Income), Jordie Maine, (Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets) and Thomas Ferrero (Managing Director and Head of Institutional Equity Sales), as well as over 20 additional capital markets professionals since the beginning of 2008.
