Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 is based in Boise, Idaho, home of the 2007-08 NBDL Champion, Idaho Stampede. Jamaal Al-Din is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan and played high school basketball at Mountain Home High School in Idaho, for Ed Palubinskas- an LSU alumn and creator of the Smartball, advertised on ESPN and NFL Network. Ed Palubinskas is a member of Australia's Basketball Hall of Fame, Olympic record setter and former free-throw tutor of the NBA's (Phoenix Suns), Shaquille O'Neal. In irony, Jamaal Al-Din transferred from Treasure Valley Community College, in Ontario, Oregon, where he received the "Coaches Award" to West Virginia Wesleyan College which is where Press Maravich, father of LSU's "Pistol" Pete Maravich coached, before coaching Pete at LSU.
"My basketball bio, definately has a creative side, and one from the scripts of Hollywood. My basketball biograhy would make a great YouTube entertainment segment," said Jamaal.
