Dasavatharam & Kamal Haasan's dancing avatars with Jeya Prada

Kamal Haasan and Jaya Prada in \"Saagara Sangamam\" ( \"Salangai Oli\" )
2008-06-29 11:27:23 - Kamal Haasan made the Indian and International audience to applaud him and the Indian classical dance through his ever best 1983 film Saagara Sangamam (The Confluence), a Telugu film directed by K. Viswanath which was dubbed in Tamil as "Salangai Oli".

He made us wept by his role as a poor and struggling Indian classical dancer while Jeya Prada as a wealthy young woman and a patron of the dances, did her best in the very emotional scenes when she heard about Kamal's condition as a desolate and ailing alcoholic, though she is a widow of someone else, but loved by Kamal deeply.

Some time back only the duo made us in deep sorrow in the 1979 film "Ninaithale Inikkum", a Tamil feature film directed by India's one of the finest film directors K. Balachander. The film follows lead actor Kamal Hassan who plays a singer and his band on a tour to Singapore. Over there Kamal meets his love interest (played by Jaya Pradha), only to find that she is terminally ill. The film ends on a tragic note with the Jeya Prada's demise.

The songs of the film were very popular, and are still remembered by the Tamil and many Indian audience for decades and some even shed tears when they hear the songs remembering the tragic end of Jaya Prada.

But after a long time they have part taken in Dasavatharam that also in the musical interest where Kamal acts as a Punjabi pop singer and Jaya Prada as his wife.

Kamal proves himself as an acting encyclopedia while Jeya Prada as an evergreen beauty.
