www.neutonpower.com - NEUTON(R) Power Equipment John Roderick, 631-656-9736 john@jroderick.com What does the Mona Lisa have in common with a lawn mower? They are both in museums, of course! Throughout the summer, the NEUTON(R) battery-powered lawn mower will be the subject of breakthrough exhibits at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry and the U.S. Botanic Garden in Washington, D.C. Both displays have recognized the NEUTON(R) battery-powered mower as a symbol of industrial innovation in the creation of green solutions alternatives to conventional every-day products.
The NEUTON(R) mower can be seen in Chicago at the Museum of Science and Industry as part of Wired Magazine's Wired Homes display and in Washington, D.C. at the U.S. Botanic Garden's "One Planet - Ours!" exhibit throughout the summer and beyond. The two sites, which credit not only the NEUTON's environmentally sound operation, but also it's innovative and easy to use design, will keep the machine on display through January 4, 2009 and October 13, 2008 respectively.
"From the beginning, the design inspiration behind the NEUTON(R) was to give people a product that delivered uncompromising performance and one that looked good doing it," said NEUTON(R) Customer Relations Director Tom Hughes. "There's no question that mowing your lawn with a NEUTON(R) projects a statement; we're proud to have that statement recognized as a significant part of the larger green movement with these two exhibits in Chicago and Washington."
The NEUTON(R), which Clean+Istry called "a lawn mower that you won't mind parking in the living room," is available in two configurations: a 14 in. cut and 19 in. wide-cut model, both of which can be charged on less than 10 cents worth of electricity. It springs to life quietly, with the simple push of a button, relegating the back straining pull-cord and associated belch of fumes to a distant memory. Emitting about half as many decibels as the traditional gas powered mower, GQ attests to its neighbor-friendly appeal citing it as "the quietest mower on the market."
