'80s bombshell Heather Thomas is bouncing out of obscurity in a shocking new way - She has penned the novel Trophies.

Who knew she had brains?

The book centers around a group of beautiful women married to powerful men in Hollywood. In addition to the premise seeming heavily borrowed from Jackie Collins' popular schlock, so does the marketing. Thomas teases that the inspiration of the characters come from real-life Hollywood trophies, but won't reveal names.

Why all the secrets? Today's starlets have their trashy behavior splashed all over magazines and the internet (we stand guilty as charged). I'd rush to buy the book if the trampy, vapid heroine was based on [insert favorite celeb].

The potboiler will never be taught in university classrooms, but it's nice to see that she can actually finish and get her novel published. Good job!

Thomas and Heather Locklear were always mistaken for each other during the mid-80s, so her current whereabouts always piqued my interest when she disappeared. Google searches only turned up her efforts at screenwriting ("School Slut" was sold to Disney but never produced), or gave me links to the picture above. It is the best selling poster of all time.

Nice to see she's overcome the cocaine addiction that plagued her at the peak of her fame, married a successful entertainment lawyer, and has three kids that seem to make her life whole.
