Oprah Winfrey to Be Presenter at the Awards Ceremony for the First Annual ``The Search for the Sacred Script'' Screenplay Contest

- Tecyhlon Film Productions announces that Oprah Winfrey will be the presenter of the awards ceremony for the first annual "The Search for the Sacred Script" screenplay contest. "It is an honor to have Oprah as the presenter of the $1.2 million grant provided by Quadritex and the Rockefeller Foundation," said Donald Irving, Tecyhlon president.

"The Search for the Sacred Script" contest allows writers and filmmakers the chance to submit their stories on-line. Go to www.thesacredscript.com for contest rules. Filmmakers are to submit a 1000-word synopsis of their story. No film scripts should be submitted. A grant will be awarded to the writer on the basis of the story's central theme. Contest deadline is December 1, 2008.

Tecyhlon contest rules require all participants to submit "transcendental" stories. Three finalists will be chosen and the script synopsis will be posted on-line for the public to vote for the synopsis that has the most "compelling, passionate and globally conscious spiritual theme."

The grant is provided by Quadritex whose goal is to make globally conscious films and to offer an alternative to the usual fare of the Hollywood system of making movies.

"I have always believed that films can and should make a difference in the world, and I am so pleased to be part of something that I feel very fond of, something that is close to my heart. The search for a sacred script not only provides a way for all the unrecognized artists that have so much talent to have a chance to make their film, but also allows those who want to make a difference in the world the chance to follow their dreams," Oprah Winfrey said.

Tecyhlon is an independent film production company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Quadritex. Tecyhlon Film Productions was launched in September 2007 and founded by former publishing executive and marketing advisor Donald Irving with the goal to provide alternative entertainment options in the media and entertainment markets. Tecyhlon's state of the art production studio complex houses 12 warehouses, including 8 sound stages (8,000 sq. ft. to 30,000 sq. ft.) production support spaces and back lot facilities, and multiple post-production suites.
