A US man shot himself with a pistol while trying to teach his girlfriend how to use it.
The 21-year-old man was giving his girlfriend a firearms demonstration in the car park of a local fast food restaurant, when he shot himself through the inner left thigh. Police in the Los Angeles district of Alexandria said the man forgot he had just reloaded the gun, and squeezed the trigger while putting the pistol into the driver's door panel. The embarrassed man repeatedly told authorities he was ex-military and knows how to handle a gun. He was reportedly very embarrassed by the incident.
