Humana names President of Medicare Operations in Nevada

In her new position, Roman will have responsibility for the overall strategic direction and growth of Humana's Medicare business in the state. Roman will also ensure the successful integration of 26,700 members residing in Clark and Nye counties who were recently acquired through Humana's purchase of UnitedHealth Group's SecureHorizon Medicare Advantage HMO business. Humana now provides benefit coverage for more than 45,000 people with Medicare in the state.

Roman has been with Humana for more than 11 years most recently as the Director of Medical Service Organization Support and Provider Contracting for Humana's Central Florida market based in Tampa. She also served as a Regional Director of Network Services for the Central Florida market, as well as Senior Director of Provider Operations for Humana in Tampa and as Director of Provider Contracts in Tampa.

Roman holds a Masters in Health Administration from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University.

Humana's products offerings in Nevada include Medicare prescription drug plans, a Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage health plans, including Medicare HMO and private-fee-for-service health plans.
