Event Features Sotheby's Wine, Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs and Haute Living NEW YORK (June 3, 2008) - More than 250 people attended The Ascend Group LLC's invitation-only exclusive grand opening party for Georgica, a new sophisticated and modern residential tower at 305 East 85th St., near the northeast corner of Second Avenue.
The event featured a white wine and champagne tasting with selections from the prestigious Sotheby's New York Wine Department. Robert Sleigh, head of Sotheby's Wine Department spoke about the wines at the tasting and presided over raffles of Dom Perignon champagne. Fresh shucked clams and oysters and delectable hors d'oeurves were served by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs, a popular New York and Hamptons caterer to A-list celebrities, and Haute Living magazine served as a partner for the lavish May 20 affair.

The 20-story, 134,000-square-foot building was designed by the award-winning Cetra/Ruddy architectural firm and will be marketed by Prudential Douglas Elliman DEVELOPMENTS group.

Site work for Georgica is well underway, with demolition having started in August 2007. Construction is slated for completion in 2009.
