The national tour offers audience members the chance to experience Rebecca's presence and gift in an intimate setting. During this reading, Rosen will ask the spirits to make reference to memories or significant details about themselves or specific audience members. Acting as a bridge between heaven and earth, she demonstrates that we have spirits and angels available to us if we are able to simply invite in their help. The messages she receives from loved ones in the spirit world are then shared with their friends and family members in the audience. About Rebecca Rosen
Rosen, 31, first delivered her psychic ability when she was 20 years old and a sophomore at the University of Florida. Growing up in a conservative Jewish family in Nebraska, she had relied on her faith to get her though much of life's situations. However, in 1997, she began to withdraw from her sorority and her friends, and instead of reaching for help, she begin to eat. Several times a night, she would sleepwalk into the kitchen, begin to eat and minutes later, "wake up," confused, before returning to bed. After a year, Rosen turned to her parents who encouraged her to seek medical help. After six months of prescribed anti-depressants, Rosen realized that, for her, this only served to dull the pain. So, two years and 30 pounds heavier, she decided she was ready to take matters into her own hands. She began journaling and experimenting with an "angel board," similar to a Ouija board, with her college roommates. What began as a game evolved into therapy as she would take the board into her room at night and connect with her "angels." One night her deceased grandma "Babe" came through and told Rosen to simply take care of the dripping candle behind her. Confused, she turned around only to find the candle dripping wax all over the carpet. At that moment, she knew she had a gift, but she was still unclear as to what that gift actually entailed. Several days later while at Borders journaling, Babe began "talking" to her granddaughter through a process known as automatic writing. As Babe began to channel private, detailed information, Rosen's hands flew furiously across the page. Fifteen pages later, Babe had shared things about her own death that only Rosen's father would have known. Still doubting this ability, Rosen called her father and read him her journal entry. He confirmed all that Rosen had written down.
What was revealed? Babe suffered from severe depression and took her own life when Rosen was 11 years old. The details were shared with Rosen that day at the bookstore. Her grandma also explained that in order to balance out her karma, she needed to work with Rosen so that she would not suffer as Babe did during her life. For the next eight months, Rosen devoted time every day to connect to the spirit guides through writing. She began soul searching and uncovering the illusions her mind created. Her spirits began to describe the waking and eating experience as "the night prowler," and explained it was Rosen's soul that was waking up and wanting freedom from darkness while her mind/ego resisted. Slowly, as she learned to love herself, the night prowler began to give up. Babe explained that Rosen would begin to help many others connect with their loved ones who had departed. It was then that the deceased started making it known that they were present and in need of contact with those around Rosen.
During this time, her spirit guide also told her she would meet her soul mate and even provided a clue that his name was "Ryan," he would give her a "rose" and that his birthday was September 24. Quietly, she filed this information away, hoping she wasn't making it all up. Five months later, Rosen slept her first full night in nearly three years, saying goodbye to the night prowler once and for all. Three months later, she was introduced to Brian Rosen (drop the B and N and you will find "rian, rose"). Yes, his birthday just happened to be September 24 and the two were engaged seven months later.
In October 2006, Rosen was forced to revisit the dark legacy of suicide when her father, Shelly Perelman, took his life at the age of 60. Unlike his mother, Babe, the last part of his life was spent as a spiritual seeker and teacher. He firmly believed souls are eternal and he found great comfort in the afterlife. Like so many others, he struggled with deep depression, and desperately sought a way out of his pain. Upon her father's death, it became clear to Rosen why she had been blessed with this incredible healing gift, and further inspired her to offer service to others as a spiritual medium.
To this day, she remains humbled and grateful for the gift of helping others find peace and closure to suffering and pain, much as she did, with help from the spirit world. Rebecca currently resides in Denver, Colorado with her husband and their young son. For a complete biography, visit www.rebeccarosen.com.
