CASA CASUARINA HOSTS SURPRISE PERFORMANCE BY NATALIE COLE

With over 50 family and friends in attendance, former author and European real estate mogul Jean-Louis Solal celebrated his 80th birthday hosted by his wife and twin daughters. Guests enjoyed a personalized three-course meal, consisting of pan-seared sea bass in a chorizo broth followed by dry-aged filet drizzled with a porcini mushroom and Madera a jus, while listening to classic pieces performed by child pianist Ethan Bortnick.

Concluding Bortnick's performance Solal was serenaded with a celebratory cake and birthday wishes by 8-time Grammy winner Natalie Cole. Cole, who was requested to perform as a gift from Solan's daughters, entertained guests with numerous arrangements before concluding the evening with a tribute to Solan, performing his favorite song 'Unforgettable' from her 1991 Album of the Year 'Unforgettable-with Love.'
