www.turningtechnologies.com - Responsive Innovations, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Turning Tech Holdings, LLC today announced the filing of a lawsuit against I-Clicker and affiliates. The lawsuit, filed on May 13, 2008 in the U.S. District Court in Youngstown, Ohio alleges that the I-Clicker product infringes Responsive's (Turning Technologies hardware sister company) U.S. Patent No. 7,330,716 covering radio frequency audience
response systems. This patent is for the communication method that Turning's ResponseCard(R) input devices utilize. Responsive will seek unspecified damages and a court ordered injunction against future infringement.
Turning and Responsive took the step of bringing suit against I-Clicker because in the words of Turning's CEO Mike Broderick, "As a technology company, we have made an enormous investment in our intellectual property. The recognition of our technology being awarded this patent early this year by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office was an important milestone for our company. It is important for us and our customers to ensure that others do not wrongly use our protected technology."
