Mentor Announces Webcast of Fourth Quarter and Full Year Financial Results for Fiscal Year 2008 and Guidance for Fiscal Year 2009

- Mentor Corporation (NYSE:MNT), a leading supplier of medical products in the United States and internationally, today announced it will report fourth quarter and full year financial results for fiscal year 2008 on Thursday, May 15, 2008, after the financial markets close. The announcement will be followed by a conference call with the financial community at 5:00 p.m. EDT. The

conference call will include guidance for fiscal year 2009.

Participating in the call will be Joshua H. Levine, President and Chief Executive Officer, and other members of Mentor's senior management team.

Live audio of the conference will be simultaneously broadcast over the Internet and will be available to members of the media, investors and the general public. The conference call is expected to last approximately one hour.
