“1st Annual Mississippi in May”

2008-04-29 08:28:25 - Nettleton, MS - - On May 2nd 2008, Minnie Mae Muzik, in association with S&S Entertainment, will host the '1st Annual Mississippi in May' at Club Oasis in West Point, Mississippi.

Minnie Mae Muzik's recording artist, Playa Fly will headline the '1st Annual Mississippi In May.' Playa Fly will perform a mixture of his classic songs from his music catalog, including 'Da Truth' and his newly released single, 'Gone So Long' which will appear on his forthcoming album, 'Mafia All Day' due in stores later this year.

As of most recently, Playa Fly won 'Performance of the Year' at the 2008 Southern Entertainment Awards in which he was nominated in three categories including 'Impact Artist of the Year' and 'Da Truth' for 'Song of the Year.' Playa Fly confidently proclaims, 'The last time I came to the GTA (Golden Triangle) was in late 2006, I literally rocked Club VIP in Starkville, MS, from the stage to bar, in front of 1,000 plus of my fans. We're looking forward to coming and rocking the GTA like never before.'

The '1st Annual Mississippi In May' will feature several guest performances from some of the hottest and upcoming talent that Northeast Mississippi, the Golden Triangle and surrounding areas has to offer. Currently schedule to perform at this event are independent and unsigned recording artists Smurf, B-Rob, and CCF amongst a host of other local talent. In addition to a grand final performance from Playa Fly, his labelmates Thaistik and Minnie Mae Mafia will also be performing new material from their forthcoming group effort, 'Forever & A Day.' At this present moment, Thaistik's new single, 'Can't Complain' is in heavy rotation on KXHT Hot 107.1 in Memphis, TN and spreading into other markets throughout the Southern region.

Advance tickets and VIP passes are currently available for all concertgoers to purchase. Event staff will open the gates of Club Oasis (Highway 45 South Alt) at 8:00 p.m. Shortly thereafter, the '1st Annual Mississippi In May' will begin immediately at 9:00 p.m. with performances from the opening acts.
