SLM Corporation to Host Annual Meeting of Shareholders on May 8, 2008

Sallie Mae Chairman Anthony Terracciano and Vice Chairman and CEO Albert Lord will address shareholders. Remarks will begin at 11 a.m. EDT at Sallie Mae headquarters in Reston, Va.

Shareholders may participate in the May 8 meeting in person or via conference call. To participate in person, shareholders will be required to show proof of ownership.
