Marilyn Monroe 'Sex Tape' Hoax: Los Angeles Times Challenges New York Post
 |
| Marilyn Monroe the Hollywood star with the thousand faces. One of the biggest miracles was, that she on almost every image looked different, was able to show a different expression, too. She defended herself though out her short life against many other false allegations. She never appeared in a sex film, wanted or unwanted. She took her own career absolutely serious, more than anybody else of her time. She had discipline and hunger for perfection. Not knowing how perfect she already was the day she was born. |

Slowly but surely the news regarding one of the ugliest claims in the aftermath of Marilyn Monroe is finally dying off. But the second biggest newspaper in the United States, the Los Angeles Times seems to be curious. The blog department wants to know: 'Hey, NY Post -- is that Marilyn sex tape real or not?' And this headline was acting like a second wind to all of us who were puzzled about how it was possible for one person, to prank the worldwide media--again. When I spotted the latest blog post, and this is the LA Times' fourth blog posting in regards of the unbelievable but still happened media stunt.
And we admit it frankly: we couldn't agree more with the LA Times.
So when is the NY Post giving us all the answer to this question?
Will we just forget that this paper officially broke
the news and that the story was picked up from hundreds if not thousands of news sources, like a bush fire in the summer heat.
I tried to answer to the LA Times blog immediately and I was just trying to feed some more info, but the comments were shut down tight. So I posted my '2 cents' (or more) onto another blog:

And now we must wait, because before we will learn about another scandal that the media claims Marilyn Monroe was involved in, and before another 'friend' of Monroe will appear to tell us things that we never will believe, naturally, we are extremely curious about the how and why the NY Post would print such a tale and help the person behind the hoax to make a spinning impression in the Andy Warhol described '15 minutes of fame.'
They are up now and what's left are interviews on YouTube and other sites which preserve this hoax for us to remember how naive some of us were, to even believe for a blink of a second, that Marilyn Monroe could truly have made such a film.
She never did, and if she would have, she would have admitted, like she admitted to the nude photographs that she posed for. Let's all just hope that the next hoax will not be happening too soon. We still got enough eyeball rolling sourness--and our necks are hurting too, from obsessive head shaking due to the interviews--that were all over the world.
