A local merchant celebrates fourth successful fund raising party for domestic violence. Wick-edly Sent Soap and Candle Company and Cinderella's Shoes and Bags are having their annual Girls Night Out party in Canandaigua on Thursday, April 24, 2008 from 5 to 9 pm. The party is their annual appreciation to their customers and also works as a fund raiser for local charities. This year's charity is domestic violence for the Family Counseling Center of the Finger Lakes.
The merchants are working with a group of women who call themselves 'Wild Women'. The group of women get together to raise money often. 'One day a member of Wild Women came in and asked us for a donation, and at the same time we were considering what charity to choose for Girls Night Out,' Don Stevens said, co-owner of Wick-edly Sent and Cinderella's. 'It was serendipity, and we hope to help by getting more people involved, while having fun.'
Fun is this year's theme, and the party planners are not slowing down. They are promising new fashions with shoes and bags, new scents for their soap and candle shop, plus the usual food and wine. 'There will also be several surprises and plenty of door prizes and giveaways.'
There will also be a strolling fashion show by another merchant, Wildflowers, plus a fifty fifty drawing. The party is free to attend and is held at 94 South Main Street, Canandaigua NY 14424. For more information contact Scott Mackey at 585-394-5260
