Abstract artist Lynne Taetzsch has been experimenting with a palette knife and other techniques in six new paintings which will be released to the public on her art website, ARTBYLT.COM, on Thursday, February 21st. Ithaca, NY: Seasoned abstract artist Lynne Taetzsch has been experimenting with new techniques in her painting studio in Ithaca, New York. Instead of using a paintbrush, she has been applying paint with a palette knife.
In several of her paintings, she used the knife to scrape the wet paint, which formed interesting shapes and color blends. Using this technique over
the whole canvas gave it an added depth.
Lynne paints with acrylic on stretched canvases. She places the canvas on an easel and stands up in order to move around freely so that she can use the full motion of her arm in the process. This movement gives her work energy and excitement.
You can watch Lynne paint her abstract art on Youtube, where she has several videos about her painting process. Her newest video demonstrating her painting technique is at:

Lynne’s work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums throughout the United States and abroad. She currently has an exhibit at The Kitchen Theatre in Ithaca, NY.
