STARS REACT WITH HORROR TO LONDON CHOPPER CRASH

2013-01-16 17:14:13 -

British singers including ALEXANDRA BURKE and SUGABABES star HEIDI RANGE have told of their shock after two people died and 13 were injured in a horror helicopter crash in London on Wednesday (16Jan13).
The chopper pilot and a local worker died when the aircraft struck a crane in Vauxhall on the south bank of the Thames, plunged to the ground and burst into a ball of flames.
More than a dozen commuters were treated at the scene or taken to hospital following the rush-hour crash, and the area surrounding the incident was shut down for several hours.
As the drama unfolded, several stars took to Twitter.com to tell of their horror and disbelief.
Burke, who shot to fame by winning The X Factor in 2008, wrote, "Oh my goodness... A helicopter crash??... I pray people are ok... My heart and prayers go out to those who are hurt by this." Range tweeted, "Very sad news about the helicopter crash this morning in Vauxhall", and The Saturdays star Mollie King, who is currently on promotional duties in the U.S., added, "I can't believe what's happened back home in Vauxhall. My thoughts are with those hurt and the families who have lost loved ones."
