2013-01-14 10:13:07 - Who doesn’t like to be enchanted? During one magical hour on January 26th 2013 at 2 p.m. at the globegarden childcare center in the shopping center Metalli, children and parents can dream of foreign places, princes and princesses, dragons, ghosts and brave knights – because it is Story Time. Children up to the age of 8 years are welcome, accompanied by an adult.
Children who are in daycare at the bilingual childcare center at Metalli spend time each day dressing-up, playing, making crafts, dancing or singing. Role plays about the brave little tailor, sleeping Beauty, trolls or hobbits are fun for the children and help them develop in a playful manner. One advantage of such role plays is that children can learn about
current topics by independently acting in the group. The children‘s identification with characters from made-up or told stories by acting them out is an important part of this.
The pedagogic carers at the globegarden centers in Zug know about the meaning and importance of role plays for the children’s development and support this development in many ways. Role plays have a positive effect on language development, reduce inhibitions of speaking, let children feel a character and promote the development of empathy and the processing of conflicts, and therefore, children’s resilience.
Children from age 3 months to 7 years are welcome at the globegarden centers in the city of Zug and are cared for from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or in a shorter time model. The nursery offers daycare for babies and nursery children, as well as Kindergarten.
