Cyber Monday - A Boost For Online Businesses

2012-11-28 17:30:46 - The ever changing market is a serious opportunity for online businesses to gain success. Christmas is the best time for the online sector to feel the difference and also a reliable barometer showing that e-commerce is slowly but surely winning consumers over to its side.

Today the market is changing so rapidly, that we can hardly follow its logic without getting lost. The volatile market situation, however, is nothing but a niche for new businesses to shoot up. The ever changing market is also a serious opportunity for online businesses to gain success.

Christmas is the best time for the online sector to feel the

difference and also a reliable barometer showing that e-commerce is slowly but surely winning consumers over to its side, Tanya Stankeva, Marketing Manager at Giftstream considers. This spell of the year is all the more prominent in the gift and entertainment sectors, where there is a very short window of intensive commerce.

This year Black Friday and Cyber Monday - the kick off of the Christmas shopping campaign - is a pivotal point in online sales. Black Friday, however, is a serious challenge for anyone who goes shopping - there are too many people, shortage of shop assistants, kilometres of queues. Luckily, consumers today have a suitable alternative - online shopping, which brings Christmas gifts just a few clicks away.

Does your business have what it takes to become successful online?
Tanya Stankeva believes that Cyber Monday has the potential to surpass the boundaries of North America and serve as an example for businesses in the UK, Europe and Asia. She claims that this day alone as well as the Christmas shopping campaign can bring to online stores much more revenues compared to last year.

Stankeva claims that the success of e-commerce comes as a result of several factors. First and foremost there is the fact that the Internet gives traders unlimited access to a huge number of potential customers. Secondly, running an online business gives them a chance to save on all the activities related to running a physical store. Last but not least, as a marketing specialist Stankeva sees Cyber Monday and similar days as a field for innovative marketing campaigns.

"As many as 2 billion people have access to the Internet and use it on a regular basis. Perhaps more than half of them are eager to do their shopping online for various reasons - either they live in remote areas, they are too busy to spend time in malls, or are purely computer-minded and can't care less to go out shopping. This is too serious a potential to let go," Stankeva continues.

As to the innovative marketing campaigns, the whole concept of selling is changing. More and more online stores are focusing their efforts on offering products in collective shopping web portals. Also, the share of deals made from mobile devices, however limited at the moment, is growing rapidly, which comes to show that users appreciate more and more the opportunities of shopping at a cheaper price, anywhere, at any time.

The trend is clear - with people quickly getting used to do shopping at home, and mobile devices getting more available to a greater number of consumers, the volume of e-commerce is growing much faster than offline trading.
