fluid Operations Offers Integration with CA Technologies Cloud Automation Solution

2012-11-12 13:56:36 - fluid Operations, a provider of enterprise cloud management solutions based on semantic technologies today, announced that the functionalities of its eCloudManager platform for cloud and landscape management of SAP® solutions are now available as an integrated offering with CA Automation Suite for Clouds from CA Technologies.

Walldorf (Germany), November 12, 2012 – This integration will enable enterprises to accelerate and cost-effectively transition their on-premise environments to virtualized and dynamic infrastructures running SAP solutions. The combination of these two products further enables the cloning and copying of SAP solution-based environments, reducing the cost and increasing the speed of landscape migrations and upgrades.

CA Automation Suite for Clouds is

an open, flexible and modular hybrid cloud automation solution designed to enable rapid time-to-operation while simplifying the complexity of hybrid service delivery. Customers can transform IT service delivery with out-of-the-box, pre-integrated workflows for standard IaaS use cases, such as automated self-service provisioning of cloud infrastructure. It is ideal for complex heterogeneous environments and can be extended and customized, to help provide the flexibility and elasticity enterprises need to dynamically respond to rapidly changing business needs.

This integration will be demonstrated in the fluid Operations booth 1061 at the SAPPHIRE® NOW and SAP TechEd conferences, being held in Madrid, Spain, November 13 -16.

“Organizations are under constant pressure to provide IT services within a very short time,” said Andreas Eberhart, Managing Director at fluid Operations. “We are excited to offer a cloud enablement solution for SAP solutions with CA Technologies that meets the expectations of innovative and high-performance cloud solutions.”

While customers have tools to manage their IT infrastructure, they need deep knowledge of SAP solutions integrated with their infrastructure management tools. At the same time, they must meet security and compliance requirements, and need to incorporate management of their SAP solutions into existing service demand and service delivery processes.

CA Automation Suite for Clouds fully automates processes, management tasks and workflows across applications and landscapes, including integration of tools and services provided by fluid Operations. This accelerates the creation, management, replication, and transport of SAP solution-based landscapes — helping to ensure high-quality IT services for mission-critical applications while increasing productivity and reducing total cost of ownership.
“Enterprises today are looking to experience the speed, flexibility and cost benefits that the cloud offers, and need to quickly migrate their SAP applications to the cloud as part of this effort,” said Roger Pilc, General Manager, Industries, Solutions & Alliances, CA Technologies. “This unique offering featuring fluid Operations’ eCloudManager and CA Automation Suite for Clouds provides an intelligent, flexible, service-driven approach to help companies migrate to public, private and hybrid clouds quickly while maintaining control and minimizing costs.”

The combination of fluid Operations with CA Automation Suite for Clouds will enable enterprises to offer a platform that enables a standard set of fluid Operations landscape services, allowing the cloning and copying of SAP solution-based environments available through a single self-service catalog entry point. The following two solutions from CA Technologies are certified for integration with SAP solutions: CA Identity Manager 12.5 and CA Workload Automation 11.3.
